Our Aims and Objectives:
The following are our aims and objectives as formally defined in our governing document, Articles of Association:
– To relieve the needs of the community of people from the Mediterranean (being geographic territories which have a coastal border to the Mediterranean sea and neighbouring territories) and from the Europe (being geographic territories in the continent Europe including the member states of the European Union and the Council of Europe) in the United Kingdom by the provision of advice and assistance and the advancement of education and training of those in the community who are in need thereof so as to advance them in life and assist them to adapt within the wider community;
– To promote equality and diversity for the public benefit by promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds;
– To advance education for the public benefit in the arts, culture, language, literature, history, geography and politics of the countries of the Mediterranean (being geographic territories which have a coastal border to the Mediterranean sea and neighbouring territories) and of Europe (being geographic territories in the continent Europe including the member states of the European Union and the Council of Europe) and to carry out research for the public benefit into these topics and publish the useful results thereof.
– To advance education concerning and promote research into the social development in the European and Mediterranean regions and elsewhere and in particular, but without limitation, in relation to human rights, civil charities, law, politics and the functioning of political systems and institutions, economics, environmental protection and inter-community relations; and
– To promote good inter-community and inter-cultural relations in the European and Mediterranean regions and elsewhere.
